1) Match Format
Matches are played in 5 vs 5
Tournament formats may include:
Best of 1 (BO1) for group stage
Best of 3 (BO3) for playoffs
Best of 5 (BO5) for grand finals
2) Win Condition
A team wins by destroying the enemy Ancient.
3) Lobby Settings
Game Mode: Captains Mode
Server Region: Based on tournament settings (EU / NA / Middle East / Russia / Global)
Cheats: Disabled
Pause: Enabled
Spectators: Allowed
Game Version: Latest official Dota 2 version
4) Hero Selection Rules
Hero picking must be done using Captains Mode
Each team may ban heroes during the draft
Duplicate hero picks are not allowed
5) Team Rules
Each team must have exactly 5 main players
Teams may have 1–2 substitutes (optional)
Player substitution is only allowed before the match starts (unless tournament admin allows otherwise)
6) Match Start & Delay Rules
Teams must be ready at least 10 minutes before match time
Late arrival rules:
Up to 10 minutes delay is acceptable
After that, the team may receive a forfeit / disqualification (based on tournament policy)
7) Disconnect / Pause Rules
Teams may pause the game in case of player disconnect
Maximum total pause time:
Usually 10 minutes
If the player does not return, the match may continue or be declared a forfeit (admin decision)
8) Forbidden Actions
Any form of cheating, hacking, scripts, or third-party tools
Exploiting game bugs for unfair advantage
Toxic behavior, harassment, or unsportsmanlike conduct
9) Match Result Rules
Match results are recorded based on the final in-game outcome
In case of crash or severe technical issues:
The tournament admin may decide to remake, continue, or award a forfeit
10) Streaming & Spectator Rules (Optional)
Streaming is allowed only if tournament rules permit
Recommended stream delay: 3–5 minutes
